YouTube has 50 million subscribers on Premium and Music

announced Google says YouTube has 50 million users who have either subscribed to or tried YouTube Music and YouTube Premium, a notable increase from the 30 million subscribers it already had. Report reported in December 2020.

And this appears to be an ongoing trend with people looking to switch over from the free versions of YouTube and YouTube Music, even as more services compete in the field.

Google did not detail the 50 million figure. So it is unknown how many people have subscribed to YouTube Music or Premium and how many people are using the one month free trial.

However, the Post She spends a lot of time talking about music, praising the platform as the fastest growing music subscription service.

Reports indicate that Spotify has about 165 million subscribers, and the Financial Times quotes an estimate that Apple Music has 78 million subscribers.

YouTube has 50 million subscribers on Premium and Music

YouTube Music Premium costs $9.99 per month and allows users to listen to and download music without ads.

YouTube Premium is priced at $11.99 per month. It gives subscribers access to all the benefits of YouTube Music, while also being able to download and watch regular videos without ads.

Premium subscribers can also play videos in the background while they are using another app or while their phone is locked.

And for those who spend a lot of time watching non-music content across the platform, this is a much better experience.

Google did not comment on the reason for the increase, which amounted to 20 million subscribers. But it must be taken into account that last year’s number was reported soon. That’s when Google was shutting down Play Music.

It’s hard to know how many people signed up for it. But both Google Play and YouTube Music were said to have a combined 15 million subscribers in 2019.

It’s hard to say what this means for Google without knowing the detailed numbers. But It is clear that more people are interested in paid YouTube offers.

Although there are a lot of complaints about the abundance of video and audio streaming services, it seems that there is still room for growth.
