The next Apple Watch may be delayed due to manufacturing issues

suffer Apple’s upcoming smartwatch faces production hurdles due to the complex designs of the new smartwatch as manufacturers adapt to the new design, which could likely lead to supply restrictions or shipping delays.

The device is expected to have a larger screen, along with a faster processor. The upgrade brought challenges in manufacturing.

The company may unveil the new line – known as the Apple Watch Series 7 – in the coming weeks. It is part of a series of new products from the tech giant, including updated iPhones, iPads, Macs and AirPods.

And this wouldn’t be the first time the Apple Watch has run into obstacles. The first release was delayed in 2015 due to production problems.

But since the company has yet to announce a release date for the Apple Watch Series 7, it has options. The company can set a later date or ship a smaller number of units.

Reports stated that the production of the device has been delayed due to the complexity of the new watch. Producers of the product began small-scale production last week. But they did not get a satisfactory production.

The current disappointing production quality can be attributed to the complexity of the design. Which differs significantly from previous generations of the watch. Assemblers have found problems when assembling electronic units, components and displays.

As a result, production of the new watch has been paused as the company and its suppliers try to solve problems and adopt designs further before going into mass production.

The new watches also have screen technology that brings the screen closer to the cover glass using a different lamination technology, and this display layer may cause some production problems.

The next Apple Watch comes with new features such as blood pressure measurement, which means production involves fitting more components into a similarly sized chassis.

The new product must also meet water-resistant performance requirements, adding to engineering and production challenges.

The company is counting on the new line to expand the attractiveness of smartwatches and continue to support a product category that has been one of the fastest growing.

The California-based Cupertino company earned more than 11 percent of its revenue from wearables, home products, and accessories last fiscal year, up from about 4 percent in 2015.

And Bloomberg reported that this year’s watches come in sizes 41 and 45 millimeters, up from 40 and 44 millimeters.

The company is expected to introduce several new watch faces that take advantage of the larger screen, including an updated Infograph Modular face.

This is the second time the company has increased the screen size, after the Apple Watch Series 4 three years ago.
