Senior developer of God of War’s Leviathan ax dies

It has been sadly confirmed the death of George Mawle, a gameplay developer at Sony Santa Monica who was described as one of the major developers of the famous Leviathan Ax, a core in the entire God of War combat system.

Tributes for the late programmer have poured in across social media.

His death was confirmed on September 2, this month, and recently the late developer received messages of condolences and honors from his fans on social media and from the game’s director, Cory Barlog, who praised his creativity in making the ax and inventing a mechanism to return it to the player after throwing it.
