Razer made thimbles to unlock the potential of your fingers

announced Razer is about to launch a new gaming accessory, the Gaming Finger Sleeve. Woven with highly sensitive silver fibres, the thumb sleeves are meant to give gamers better control over touch screens and extra comfort thanks to the breathable fabric.

The word sleeves are usually associated with the arms, but the Gaming Finger Sleeve is not meant for your arms. And these new accessories are just for your thumb.

Mobile gaming has emerged as one of the largest platforms for gamers with 2.2 billion players worldwide. By the end of 2020, projected revenue had grown to $76.7 billion globally, an increase of 12 percent over 2019 figures.

Mobile gaming is a booming industry these days, and everyone and anyone wants to earn money in one way or another.

From gaming smartphones to the games themselves to accessories, the market is teeming with products that aim to tap into this lucrative business.

As a result, not all of these products always make sense, even products from popular brands.

Although there are a large number of game controllers of different designs available in the market, mobile games are still designed to respond to touch inputs first and foremost.

Smartphone makers have improved touch response and display refresh rates to raise the bar for mobile gaming. But they couldn’t fix one of the biggest complaints about smartphones in this regard.

Naturally, smartphones have glass screens, which collect dirt and fingerprints which may hinder your performance.

Razer made thimbles to unlock the potential of your fingers

Razer wants to solve the problem with these fabric thimbles designed for gaming. Its main function is to give your fingers a better grip on the screen with the highly sensitive and anti-slip silver fiber material.

And unlike most fabrics, this sensitivity won’t impede touch. The company claims that the 0.8mm-thick material is lightweight, breathable and sweat-absorbent. These cloth thimbles are also hand washable.

And the company appears to be very serious about its new product. And like the Zephyr RGB face mask that also serves as a microphone and speaker for gamers, the Gaming Finger Sleeve is a de facto commercial product, now available for $9.99 a piece.

It is worth mentioning that the company represents a prestigious brand among professional players around the world. AndIt produces gaming monitors, headphones, mice, keyboards, chroma-enabled cup holders, chairs, joysticks, laptops and desktops.
