One teacher has revealed that she adopted her five-year-old student, whom she started taking care of at just 24 – despite her family and friends telling her she was ‘crazy’ for hosting him.

Paige Bramlett, 25, of Indiana, met her now son, William, when she worked as a behavior specialist when he was in kindergarten.

At the time, he was in the foster care system, and she said he experienced “endless trauma” that left him with PTSD.

After moving from house to house for more than four years, she decided to welcome him into her home – a decision that her close friends felt “crazy” due to her age and marital status.

He has been in foster care and has suffered from PTSD and post-traumatic stress disorder behaviors. He’s been living in several homes over the course of four years.

In another video, one’s mother opened up about the scrutiny she faced from her peers after deciding to take care of William, admitting that most thought she was “crazy” for hosting one of her students.

She wrote on TikTok, with a Taylor Swift song playing in the background: “I, a 24-year-old bachelor explaining to everyone that I’m going to start taking care of one of my students.

“Everyone, oh my gosh, she’s crazy,” she added.
