After launching the Moto G50 5G at the end of August, Motorola is now back with another G-series device. The latest addition to the lineup is a lower-priced phone called the Moto G50 5G. Moto G PureIt features simple hardware and an antique design.
At $159.99, the Moto G Pure is the least expensive member of the company’s lineup, with the released Moto G Play costing an additional $10 at $169. On the other hand, the Moto G Power and Moto G Stylus cost significantly more at $199 and $299, respectively.
And the new Moto G Pure doesn’t look like the other Moto G series devices launched this year. It features the same design as the company’s hardware from last year, with a vertically-shaped camera module. While the front features huge bezels around the screen and a teardrop-shaped notch at the top for the selfie camera.
As you’d expect from its design, the Moto G Pure features a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 chip, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage that can be expanded with a microSD card.
The biggest difference between the Moto G Pure and the Moto G Play is their processors. The Moto G Pure uses a MediaTek Helio G25 processor, while the Moto G Play uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor from 2020.
Based on processor comparison data, Snapdragon 460 is the fastest and most power efficient octa-core processor compared to Helio G25.
The device has a dual camera on the back, featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a single 5-megapixel front camera.

There is a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh, which, along with the simple gear, should provide excellent battery life. However, charging the device will not be a dazzling experience, as it only supports 10W wired charging.
For connectivity, the Moto G Pure features a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and 4G LTE support. With dual-band wireless network, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Other noteworthy features include IP52 certification, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. With a single speaker on the bottom, and dual microphones.
The Moto G Pure is powered by Android 11. It will be available for pre-order in the US starting October 14th. Motorola offers the device in a single color, Deep Indigo. The phone retails for $159.99 via Best Buy, Walmart, B&H Photo, Amazon, and the company’s website.
Motorola says the Moto G Pure will go on sale in Canada in the coming months. But she didn’t share a specific timeline.
