This is the shocking moment two gunmen wielding assault rifles opened fire at a busy Philadelphia gas station in broad daylight, killing a young father.

Brandon Dixon, 30, was targeted by two shooters as they drove up to the Liberty forecourt in east Mount Airy, north Philadelphia last Thursday, May 5.

Surveillance footage shows the balaclava-clad men drive up to the gas station and watch Brandon pump gas into his car before leaping out with assault rifles.

After identifying Brandon, they leap out of the vehicle and spray him with assault rifle bullets

The Philly dad sprinted away as they open fire, but didn’t make it.

He died with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body.

Brandon’s mother Lisa Dixon, who is now looking after his daughter Jordan, five, told FOX 29: ‘I feel like my heart has been snatched out of my body.

‘I don’t know who’s raising these children but they don’t care. They have nothing in them. And they took my baby’s life.’

The talented basketball player, who won prizes as a student at Plymouth Whitemarsh High, had no involvement in crime, Lisa insisted.

She said: ‘I would put my hand on the bible my son – that one – was not into anything. He was not.

‘Jordan said: “I’m not gonna see my dad anymore.” And I told her: “He’s here with us, he’s always gonna be here with us.

‘”Everything’s gonna be all right, we’re gonna get through this.”‘

Jordan simply said: ‘I love my daddy.’

The two suspects remain on the loose.

Police are offering a reward of $20,000 for any information which leads to an arrest.
