  • Under the Alt + Tab section expand the menu and then select the option to open recent windows and tabs in Edge.

  • Open the Settings window and then click on the System tab.
  • On the next screen, click on the About option on the left side.
  • Click on the Advanced System Settings link on the right.
  • In the pop-up window click on the advanced settings tab and then select the settings option in the performance section.
  • In the pop-up window you can choose from presets. which can automatically optimize the visuals for the best look and performance. Or you can manually choose which effects you want to disable.
  • Once done, click on Apply and then OK to save the changes.

  • On the next screen, tap the Background apps option on the left side.
  • Toggle the button next to Allow apps to run in the background to On.
  • In the list of applications below, turn off any application that you do not want to run in the background.
