ASDA hopes to launch a treasure hunt on Black Friday today by hiding Gucci fashions in George’s line of products.

The supermarket places 30 discount second-hand items from the fashion house in some of its 50 clothing departments in an effort to attract designer designers.

With new Gucci styles costing up to £4,000 for the coat and even socks retailing at £145, lucky shoppers can grab a special deal.

Millions will be spent today shopping online or rushing to stores in the UK in the hope of huge discounts.

Asda’s show is in partnership with old-fashioned wholesaler Preloved, where used clothing – including designer labels and coveted sports brands – is resold in an effort to make fashion more sustainable.

It also coincides with the release of Ridley Scott’s House Of Gucci, starring Adam Driver and Lady Gaga.

Asda said: “Thirty exclusive pieces will be hidden in stores across the UK, with teasers on social media encouraging customers to search through local Asda for a chance to purchase a piece of the designer’s history for as little as £12.

“We have some of the fashion house’s signature shirts, jackets, and dresses.”

Black Friday has mostly become an online event in the UK.

However, retail analysts still believe there will be about 20 percent more people on the streets today than there were a week ago.
