Facebook announces support for virtual reality developers

Facebook wants to stay ahead of the next stage

  • Community Contests: The company has launched a series of Creator Contests that reward creators for building the best worlds in Horizon. The program offers cash prizes of up to $10,000 to the winners.
  • Accelerator Program: The company’s Creator Accelerator program, which is designed to give people with diverse backgrounds an advanced intensive course in creating Horizon Worlds, will soon begin accepting applications for an expanded initiative scheduled to launch in early 2022.
  • Funding for Developers: The company is also looking to provide funding to developers, studios, or creators interested in creating experiences for Horizon around a specific topic.
