DJI OM 5 may get a telescopic arm

plan DJI, which specializes in drones and mounts, will soon introduce the Osmo Mobile 5, a new smartphone mount with an integrated selfie stick.

Although the battery capacity is reduced. But the retractable smartphone stand opens up even more creative possibilities.

The main difference between the Osmo Mobile 5 and its predecessor is that the device has a built-in selfie stick.

If necessary, the user can extend the arm of the Osmo Mobile 5 significantly, for example to take selfies at a greater distance from the subject.

This prospect can be particularly appreciated by the producers of so-called vloggers.

Additionally with the telescopic arm, you can use other viewing angles for various other shooting situations or ensure that more targets can be captured at one time.

The stability of the recording is maintained by the physical compensation of the movements and it must be ensured that the recordings occur without fluctuation.

However, the company also has to compromise in order to accommodate the telescopic arm in the DJI Osmo Mobile 5’s miniature chassis.

And since the device is only 17 centimeters long when closed, in order to keep it as mobile as possible, the battery capacity is reduced by the integration of the retractable extension.

The information talks about a battery life of only 6:20 hours. Having managed to achieve up to 15 hours so far.

This means that the maximum uptime has been reduced by more than half. This will probably be enough for most users, especially since the battery can be fully recharged in about 1.5 hours.

And the Osmo Mobile 5 once again has the magnetic smartphone holder that was introduced with its predecessor. Thanks to it, the device can be connected to the stand quickly and easily.

The integrated foldable foot is also placed across the board again. It is likely that the Osmo Mobile 5 will be launched in the European market after the launch event of the manufacturer, which is expected on September 8, 2021, at a price of 159 euros.
