Today we witnessed the leak of new titles revealed by the GeForce Now database, and despite Nvidia saying that it was only guesswork, several names of unannounced projects emerged that caught the attention of many people. One of those names on the list was Project Cortez which looks like it will be the title of the next Call of Duty game.
Where the news leaker is back Tom Henderson via his Twitter account. To reveal that Project Cortez mentioned above is the code name for the new Call of Duty game that comes to us in 2022, and “Tom” indicated that the game will be a sequel to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game that was released in 2019.
According to the VGC report, it indicated that the Call of Duty 2022 game will be developed by Infinity Ward, which is the same developer as the 2019 part, and will present a story mode during which it tells about a US special forces unit that will fight a secret war against the Colombian drug cartels. And Project Cortez’s code name is a reference to the movie Clear and Present Danger, which has the same plot line as the game and will feature a main antagonist named Colonel Felix Cortez.
The next Call of Duty game is Call of Duty: Vanguard, which will be available on November 5th across home consoles and PC.
