Apple’s first iPhone with a terabyte of storage coming tomorrow

The day before Apple’s California Streaming event on September 14th, says a report A new investor from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said he expects the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max to have a terabyte storage option for the first time.

Kuo also says the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini may have a 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage setup. But there is no 64GB option.

For comparison, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage settings.

The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage configurations.

The analyst also added that he expects the company to unveil AirPods 3 at an event on Tuesday. But Apple will likely keep the AirPods 2 available as another option for shoppers besides the redesigned AirPods 3.

He warns that the iPhone 13 may be affected by supply chain shortages, as previously reported. But it is expected that there will be a limited impact on iPhone 13 shipments.

“We think the current challenge for iPhone production is the lack of components,” Koo said. Due to component shortages, older models were reduced between 5 and 10 percent in the third quarter of 2021. The iPhone 13 shipment in the fourth quarter of 2021 could have potential negative risks due to component shortages. However, this downside has a limited impact on iPhone 13 shipments. We believe iPhone 13 shipments in 2021 could grow by more than 10 percent annually versus iPhone 12 shipments in 2020.

Previous leaks and rumors pointed to the iPhone 13 lineup that includes four models the same sizes as last year’s models.

The new phones are expected to be equipped with improved cameras that include portrait video mode, astrophotography mode, ultra-wide-angle lens, and better optical zoom for video recording.

Other rumors about the Apple Watch Series 7 predict a faster processor and new hardware design, including larger screens and new watch faces. The iPad mini is expected to get a major redesign as well.
