Apple has officially announced the cutting edge part of the iPhone 13 lineup: the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Both phones have a faster A15 Bionic chip, three all-new cameras, and an improved display with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate display that can brighten up to 1,000 nits.
The OLED screens on both models come in the same sizes as last year at 6.1 and 6.7 inches. But with a slightly smaller bump that should allow more space in the iOS status bar.
Both devices use the new A15 Bionic chip, which delivers an increase in the familiar CPU and GPU speed compared to last year.
The company also says the chip should be faster for machine learning tasks.
This is the third year that Apple has divided its flagship lineup into regular and Pro devices. And last year, many reviewers noted that there wasn’t much difference between the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12.
And although the iPhone 12 Pro has an additional telephoto camera, a lidar sensor, and more RAM and storage. But the basic design, processor, 5G capabilities, and OLED display were all similar, if not identical, to the regular iPhone 12.
